Plastic Abrasive media is designed for industrial blasting applications where controlled material removal, consistent finish, and minimal substrate damage are critical. It is used in air blast and wheel blast systems for cleaning, deburring, paint stripping, and surface profiling before coating.

The media is graded by mesh size, which determines particle size and aggressiveness. Coarser grades (8–24 mesh) handle heavy rust and scale removal, while finer grades (150–320 mesh) deliver precision cleaning and polishing. Matching the grade to your blast pressure, nozzle size, and desired surface profile is essential for cost-effective, repeatable results.

Grade Selection and Packing Options

We supply Plastic Abrasive in four grade bands, each suited to a specific surface preparation task. The table below shows the range, but the exact grade you need depends on your blast machine and finish specification. Tell us what you are blasting and the finish you require, and we will recommend the right mesh.

• 8–24 mesh: Heavy cleaning, rust and scale removal on steel and cast iron.
• 30–60 mesh: General surface preparation and profiling before painting or coating.
• 80–120 mesh: Fine finish work, light deburring, and pre-coat surface conditioning.
• 150–320 mesh: Precision cleaning, polishing, and delicate substrate finishing.

Packing is available in 25 kg and 50 kg bags, drums, and super sacks. Minimum order quantity is 50 kg. For export orders, we supply on FOB or CNF basis. Stock availability is confirmed at the time of enquiry.
