Product description

Details buyers use to confirm grade, use and supply.

Industrial garnet abrasive for consistent blasting results

Abrasive Garnet Sand delivers fast cutting and a clean surface profile across steel, casting, and structural work. Its angular grain shape and controlled particle distribution produce a uniform anchor pattern, which helps coatings bond reliably. The media is supplied in dry, free-flowing condition and is suitable for both air-blast and wheel-blast equipment.

Common uses include removing mill scale, rust, and old coatings before painting or metallizing. The same garnet abrasive is also used for cleaning castings, preparing weld seams, and maintaining process equipment during plant shutdowns.

Mesh grade selection and surface finish

Mesh grade directly affects cleaning speed, profile depth, and final appearance. Coarser grades (8–24 mesh) strip heavy rust and scale quickly, while medium grades (30–60 mesh) balance speed and profile for general fabrication work. Finer grades (80–120 mesh) produce a smoother surface before coating, and the finest grades (150–320 mesh) are used for precision cleaning and light polishing.

If you are unsure which grade suits your blast nozzle and finish requirement, share your machine details and target profile. We will suggest a matching grade and confirm availability.

Packing and export supply

Standard packing includes 25 kg and 50 kg valve bags, drums, and super sacks. Packing is chosen based on handling equipment at your site, shipping method, and order volume. We supply on FOB or CNF basis for export markets and can arrange domestic dispatch across India.

Minimum order quantity starts at 50 kg for trial or sample evaluation. Bulk orders are supplied in ton lots or container loads, with lead time confirmed at enquiry.
