Operational Considerations

As a single-use expendable abrasive, Copper Slag 40 mesh is typically used in open blast operations where media recovery is not practical. It generates a high level of dust, so operators must use appropriate respiratory protection and dust suppression measures. The media is compatible with standard blast pots, metering valves, and venturi nozzles. For optimal performance, maintain a consistent blast pressure between 90-110 PSI and a nozzle distance of 18-24 inches from the work surface.
